Affectis’ behavioural pharmacology group has longstanding experience in neurobiology, pharmacology, and biology. With the help of specific animal models and test systems, the team evaluates the behavioural alterations induced by drugs and consolidates hypotheses about the biological function of novel therapeutic targets in depression and other psychiatric disorders. Detailed ethological analyses are combined with precise neurobiological measurements in order to produce meaningful results in proof-of-concept studies and the preclinical testing of drug candidates.
