Munich, Germany -- Neuronova AG, a biopharmaceutical company developing novel drugs against depression and anxiety, has received a grant of € 750,000 from Germany’s tbg Technologie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mbH, a state funding organisation. Furthermore, Neuronova has officially changed its name to Affectis Pharmaceuticals AG. The renaming to Affectis Pharmaceuticals will become effective immediately and is based on a joint decision of the Company’s Executive and Supervisory Board.

Munich, Germany; Illkirch, France - Neuronova AG, a biopharmaceutical company developing novel drugs against depression, and Prestwick Chemical Inc., an expert in medicinal chemistry, have entered into a collaboration by which Prestwick Chemical will apply its integrated medicinal chemistry platform to optimise a small molecule compound with antidepressant properties identified by Neuronova.
The compound interacts with a novel target proprietary to Neuronova which is involved in the development of depression and bipolar affective disorders. Resulting drugs are expected to act faster and address larger patient segments than current antidepressants.

Munich, Germany; Hamburg, Germany; Oxfordshire, UK – Neuronova AG (private) and Evotec OAI AG (Frankfurt Stock Exchange: EVT, TecDAX 30), a leading partner for integrated high-value-added drug discovery and development solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced that they have entered into a drug discovery agreement to identify small molecule compounds that interact with a Neuronova target involved in the treatment of depression and anxiety.
In the search for novel compounds, Evotec OAI will apply its world-class capabilities in the areas of cell-line construction, assay development and screening on a complex cellular target. In addition, Evotec OAI will provide profiling services to Neuronova to further characterise selected hits for progression.
