Dr. Stephen Murray

  Dr. Stephen Murray is a psychiatrist and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in both large and small companies. Dr. Murray was the Chief Medical Officer of Memory Pharmaceuticals before it was sold to Roche at the end of 2009, and was with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, first as a Medical Director in the Pfizer Pharmaceutics Group from 2001 to 2004, and then as Senior Medical Director, Worldwide Medical Team Leader, Schizophrenia, and Chair, Schizophrenia, Bipolar and Cognition Disease Area Leadership Team, 2004 to 2006. Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Murray was an Associate Medical Director at Janssen Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Murray completed his clinical training in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. After finishing his residency, Dr. Murray was a research fellow at UCSF where his work focused on the cellular trafficking of G-protein coupled receptors. Dr. Murray received a B.S. from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and both his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
