Luc St-Onge

  Dr. Luc St-Onge has strong credentials in the biotech industry and the scientific community. He obtained his PhD at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada where he worked in the field of cancer. In 1993, he moved to Germany and was a research scientist in the laboratory of Professor Peter Gruss at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biophysical Chemistry. During this time, he studied the molecular and genetic mechanisms regulating pancreas development. He joined DeveloGen AG upon its foundation in 1998 where he was director of the diabetes program. Dr. St-Onge subsequently joined Affectis in 2003 upon its foundation. Throughout his career, he has published in top ranking journals and was granted several patents related to stem cells and novel therapeutic strategies against diabetes. He is currently a member of the Licensing Executive Society and Pharma Licensing Club Germany and is a supporting member of the Max Planck Society.
