Klaus Wanner

  Prof. Wanner studied chemistry and pharmacy at Technical University and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), both in Munich. After obtaining his PhD, he did post doctoral studies at Colorado State University. Upon his return to Germany, he accepted a position as associate professor at Freie Universität Berlin and was then appointed full professor at LMU. Prof. Wanner was Vice Dean and then Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the LMU. His research focuses on asymmetric synthesis as well as the development of inhibitors of the GABA transport proteins.
